It’s a pleasure to welcome you to Queensbury School, a special school for students aged 11 to 19 years of age.

We provide secondary education for students with specific special educational needs: MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties) and SEMH (Social Emotional and Mental Health). All students have an Education Health Care Plan or are in the process of receiving one.

Queensbury School is part of the Education Impact Academy Trust and joined on the 1st September 2020. Significant investment of £3.5 million is being invested into the school, to ensure our staff and students have a learning environment for the 21st century. We work closely with Wilson Stuart School and other associated organisations who have a track record of Outstanding Ofsted judgements.

Students are at the heart of everything we do. Our school has four focused curriculums to meet the needs of our amazing students and their differing needs: Discovery, Quest, Explorer, Venture and Navigator.

Our high staff to student ratios allow for individual support in a specialist provision setting. We believe some students thrive in a smaller school setting. Small class sizes allow us really to know the students exceptionally well and provide the support they may require. Our staff are highly skilled and really care about every young person. We provide that personalised approach that we know is so important to children, parents and families.

At the centre of this, is our ongoing commitment to meaningful partnerships with our pupils, parents, governors, trustees, agencies, charities and professional partners. Alongside this, we provide regular training for our staff to keep them at the forefront of special educational needs provision, as it evolves.

We believe all students have the potential to ‘unleash their limitless potential…’ they just need the right opportunityright people and right environment.

If you are interested in your child attending our school, more information can be found on our admissions page or the Local Offer for Birmingham. If you would like to visit our setting please call 0121 373 5731 to arrange an appointment.
