Overall Aims
The Personal Development faculty at Queensbury Personal provides a framework through which a foundation of knowledge, skills and attitudes are developed which build positive healthy adult life styles through its subjects PE, Personal Development / SMSC , Personal and Social Development(KS 5 only) and Sex and Relationship Education which is covered in Personal Development / SMSC at all key stages. It promotes the physical, social, mental, spiritual and aesthetic well-being of the individual, of groups and the community.

The Loudmouth Company put on a performance and follow up workshops each year for all key stages pupils covering aspects of sex and relationship education differentiated to fit he pupils’ ages and abilities.
The sexual health service has delivered sessions on ‘sex and relationship education’ to classes, at no cost, starting initially with classes in KS5. These sessions will follow a 12 week programme and it is hoped that we can continue with these sessions in the future.
Trips to ‘Safe Side’ have taken place in previous years. This gives pupils a valuable insight into safety issues delivered by the Fire Service.
