‘Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow’ – Queensbury pupils rewarded for 100% attendance with trip to Skegness

At Queensbury we believe that being punctual and coming to school every day are essential habits in helping pupils to be successful as they transition through life, and as such we celebrated our pupils who had 100% attendance with a three-day reward trip to Skegness. Students enjoyed beach front accommodation, crazy golf, a visit to the Skegness aquarium, then a full day at the Butlins resort followed by fish and chips. And no trip to Skegness would be complete without a visit to the beach and paddling in the sea!

The trip was enjoyed by all the pupils, including Savion who celebrated his birthday during the holiday. Mr Parasseril, Savion’s father, told: “Thank you for organising a wonderful birthday celebration for during the Skegness reward trip. Much appreciated. Convey regards to all.”

The school excursion brought new experiences, new friendships, and the opportunity for being independent, which really contributes to pupil’s personal development. Teacher Mr Dave Dennis told: “It was such an amazing experience for our pupils, watching them develop and grow is such a joy.”

Mr M Ali, Director of Learning, added: “’Getting 100% attendance is an amazing achievement. It’s great to see young learners being rewarded for their determination to succeed.”
