Earlier this week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Kai from Different Minds to our Beyond The Game (BTG) intervention.
Kai is the founder of the Different Minds clothing brand, which raises awareness around ADHD and Autism – causes close to his heart, as both of his children have been diagnosed with ADHD and ASD. Kai also has lived experience with adversity, including a challenging school experience and growing up in Erdington – a background that many of our students can relate to.
Kai generously gave up his time to speak with our students and brought along around 20 FREE bucket hats and caps, which he handed out during the session. He has also kindly offered to provide more merchandise for our termly celebrations.
To some, this may just seem like free gear – but to our students who show up each week, committed to growing and improving, or to those who had already seen Kai on social media, this moment felt a bit like meeting a celebrity.
