This week, our Year 6.6 students took part in a fantastic HEN (Hippodrome Education Network) workshop as part of their preparation for the upcoming trip to the Hippodrome to watch Robin Hood. The session was led by theatre practitioner Clare Palethorpe, who brought a wonderful mix of energy, expertise, and creativity to our classroom.
During the workshop, students explored the world of slapstick comedy—a classic performance style filled with exaggerated actions, playful mishaps, and big laughter.
The workshop has sparked even more anticipation for our upcoming visit to watch Robin Hood, and we’re confident the students will now be watching the performance with an even deeper appreciation of the comedy and craft involved.
Well done to all of Year 6.6 for their enthusiasm and brilliant participation!
