EIAT MAT Football Festival 2025: A Day of Skill, Spirit, and Sportsmanship

On Monday, 16th June, Queensbury School proudly hosted the highly anticipated EIAT MAT Football Festival, bringing together six spirited teams from across the Education Impact Academy Trust (EIAT). The event was a celebration of teamwork, talent, and the shared love of football among students from different schools within the MAT.

Queensbury and New Horizons each entered a team, joined by four other schools, creating a vibrant and competitive atmosphere. The festival featured a variety of engaging football-themed activities, including a fast-paced 5-a-side tournament, the thrilling 5 Ball Challenge, and a high-pressure penalty shootout. Alongside these headline events, students also enjoyed a range of exciting football games designed to test their skills and encourage collaboration.

The 5-a-side tournament was the highlight of the day, showcasing impressive footwork, strategic play, and unwavering determination from all teams. The 5 Ball Challenge added a unique twist, requiring players to demonstrate precision and control under pressure. The penalty shootout, always a crowd favorite, delivered moments of high drama and celebration.

After a day filled with energy and enthusiasm, Queensbury School emerged victorious, claiming the title of Football Festival Champions. Their teamwork, sportsmanship, and consistent performance across all events earned them well-deserved recognition.
