Consultation Outcome: 

The overarching response to the proposal was overwhelmingly positive. Here are the key findings:

· 90% (262 respondents) were in favour of the proposal.

· 10% (29 respondents) were not in favour of the proposal.

Based on the responses received the Local Governing Body and Trust Board have approved the proposal for: 

1. Students’ end of day arrangements on Fridays: From September 2025, Students will depart from 1.30pm.

2. Staff teams’ dedicated time: Staff teams will have set class meetings and dedicated time to enhance consistency within teams and further improve communication with families and multi-agency teams due to the increased complexity of needs.

Why your views matter?

The Education Impact Academy Trust Board and Local Governing Body of Queensbury School would like to give all current and future parents and all other interested parties the opportunity to comment on the proposal to:

Proposal for Early School Closure on Fridays to Support Staff Collaboration and Strategic Planning.

1). Ending the school day for pupils at 1.30pm from September 2025 on Fridays at Queensbury Site.

2). Lunch will be earlier (12.15pm-12.45pm & 12.45pm -1.15pm) ​

3). 1.15pm -1.30pm (Form time for end of week) / Taxi Collection

4). 1.30pm – 2pm (Student end of day / Parental collection / Transport – Bus Collection)

How long is consultation?

The consultation will run for 4 weeks from Monday 20^th January 2025 to 12 Noon on Monday 17^th February 2025.

What happens next?

• This consultation will start Monday 20^th January 2025.
• The consultation (representation) period will end Monday 17^th February 2025.
• During this time anyone who wishes to make comments/objections about this proposal should do so via this survey or send written responses using the form in the information pack to Queensbury school address.
• The school has held a parent meeting a parent meeting as well as a virtual meeting on Wednesday 15^th January 2025 for existing students and families.
